Delta-Q charger on the way!

Down to 2 more things and I will be done!

1. 9-8 volt batteries ( thats gonna cost me)
2. Lugs for 2 gauge wire

I want to get the lugs next. Anyone have a rough idea on how many I will need? Where is a cheap place to get them from? I love a good link with the lugs I need. I know they come in so many sizes.

I use a good thomas and bettes electrical installation grade tinned lug. They are not cheap but are about twice the thickness of most. You can get a good deal on eBay sometimes. I will try to pm you a link.

Just read trhough this entire thread and it makes me want to go find a long raod for my cart and a hand held GPS just to see how fast it really is. I'm betting smoewhere between 60 and 70 MPH minimum. Keep us updated on the conversion Chevy!

I would try to find something like this, use these and you won't have to worry about them again.

FYI the better quality welding cable will actually work better with a size larger lug if you use these lugs. Some lugs will even say #1std#2weld. If it is possible take a piece of your cable to an electrical supply house and look at their lugs that fit. The last thing you want to do is have to trim strands back because it is too tight to fit into lug. Some will tell you there is no need for these quality of lugs, I don't believe in quality overkill on the electrical system on an electrical hot rod.

I dunno if this link will work either?
http://cgi.ebay.com/25-Tinned-Copper...item3363d6a2a4

Ebay links are fickle

Make sure you check with the battery supplier and know what size stud the battery has 5/16 or 3/8 and check your solenoid terminals for size as well as your F&R (5/16ths) you will need 8 cables for everything except the battery pack that is 5 more in a 6 battery pack so 10 for your 9 pack? about 36 ends but like I said there may be 2 or more different sizes involved.
