Default Farm Cart went mudding.

As some of you know I have been working on a cart that took on a life of its own.

http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/membe...o-project.html

We got the opportunity to go riding on private land this weekend. I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with the performance of the carts. We only had to go back to get the jeep once to winch out "Stump Grinder" (Green one) Garydee's cart. No pics of that as it was dark. Otherwise we just pushed them out if it got a little deep, which wasn't much. They took everything that we threw at them (within reason). Powertrain wise mine is stock and the green one has a 14hp vanny stock from Cushman. He had more torque than i did, but we had a great time. Now for the pics......

Nice. Gotta love all of that. Richie's old front end did OK? Nice trailer too.

Richie's front end did great. I'm almost a little jealous. Gary put alot of work in it to get it to work on that cart. The trailer works for now, but it's days are numbered for cart duty. It's supposed to be a tow dolly.

Hee hee hee I hear ya. It's not what was planned. I bought a trailer I thought I could get away with. It worked fine for the other cart, but this one made me nervious.

See what I mean.

Ha! I can understand why!

When we picked up our Marathon I borrowed a trailer from a buddy.... looked exactly like that one. He hauled a Polaris 500 ATV on it pretty regularly. But when we tried hauling the Marathon, we found that it fishtailed really easy. Maybe due to the weight being further back on the Marathon than the Polaris??

Anyway, when you get around to building your hauler, I'll be watching to see what kind of ideas you come up with.

Hey Sak,
Very cool cart. I have a 01 carryall turf 2 that i want to put a lift in and bigger tires. Yours seems right down my alley. Can you give me more details. Lift type, lift size, wheels and tire size? Thanks

Well let's see........8" a arm lift, 12" rims from ITP 212 I believe, Tires size is 26x12x12 GBC Gators. They are a little rough at slow speed but once they get about 1/4 throttle they smooth right out. The front tires rub a little if I turn too sharp. 25" tires would have been a better choice. Good Luck

Did you lose any turning radius? Any other mods that you needed to do? Is it good for offroad tuffness? I do my yardwork with mine and that requires going in the woods to dump debris and use it to get our deer out of the woods but without a lift I really need to watch the rear. This woiuld definatly be an advantage. Thanks for the info
