Just bought it! Don't know what it is, but I just bought it!
So I have been prerusing this site for a few months in anticipation of getting my first golf cart. I got bitten by the bug when they legalized them in my neighborhood and my friends starting getting their pimped up rides ready made for them for big $. I don't roll that way. I like to find a challenging piece of crap and turn it into something so unique that people automatically know it's yours when they see it a mile away. I recently completed the restoration of my 68 Fury III convertible that I picked up for $1500.
I have been combing craigslist during these last few months, looking for a unique-looking project cart under $1000. I was considering a couple of four wheeled harleys, some amusement park car bodies to maybe put on an ez go frame, etc. When I saw the ad for this I knew I had found it. Better yet, I got it for just $300. I haven't a clue what it is and was hoping others here could give me some idea. The guy I bought it from said that it was being custom made for soem prince who was deported so it just sat in his shop. He brought it home and let it sit in his yard to rot for a couple of years before deciding to sell it, so it has some rust issues and the wooden seat bases are rotten, but it is an excellent candidate for restoration. You can tell the roof was custom made, but I have a hard time believing that the body wasn't a mass produced piece. I just got her home and haven't really delved into it yet, but thought I'd sare the first few pics of what is to be a very long project. |

What a great platform to start with! Nothing more gratifying than building something yourself then showing it off to say "I did that!" Good luck with the build. Can't wait to see the pics on this one.
