new D&D motor won't run
I'm a newbe to this forum so I hope this is proper procedure.
95 DS; Installed a new D&D 170-004 high torque motor along with proper solenoid,500 amp(4855) controller,4 gauge wire,and up graded F&R switch. Energized unit and LED on controller flashed once and then stayed steady green(just like instructions state). As I depress accelerator and proceed to about 3/4 pedal the wheels will "bump" forward slightly. Put a volt meter on load side of solenoid and battery neg and did above procedure. At 3/4 pedal, the wheels "bump" and the voltage goes from 50 volts to maybe 10 volts and the volts start to come back to 50volts. Any ideas I what I can start looking at. Thanks 43pump |

Check the battery pack. 50 volts is just enough to make the cart barely move. 48 volts is considered a dead battery pack.
