Converting my 89 to 48 volts
I am in the process of converting my 89 club car to 48 volts......but I don't think I will ever get it back together since I keep finding/ordering new parts to install on it. I am starting to think thi is going to be a never ending story...

Welcome to the club. A couple of years later and my project is still unfinished. Keep at it, you'll get there eventually!

Projects are never finished! You'll feel much better about it when it's a running project, though!

Re: Converting my 89 to 48 volts
I did make some gead way today....wish I could have worked on it this weekend but work decieded to need me their for 30 hours...
Mounted new throttle linkage and pot....Read .1 ohms rested and 5.078-5.189 at open throttle. Started makeing all the big wire up for batteries and motor connections. I will now take them to work and solder all the joints and shrink wrap them. Now I am waiting on parts to get in to start running all the small wire... |

Re: Converting my 89 to 48 volts
Made headway today with most of the wiring and testing of circuits All wiring is labeled on both ends and shrinked....I thought I would be wiring forever I took these couple of pics with my tablet since the wifey has the good camera.
Forgot to add look how accurate ScottyB's guage is!! Its within .1 volts. Meter is directly on the batteries... |
