Re: My Precedent nearly done
Dela, no... no fold down windshield. When you go the Fully Street Legal (official LSV route) the Windshield must be one solid Lexan, DOT approved, Windshield.... at least by Florida regulations. And by the way, Fully Street Legal means an actual Florida license tag just like any other vehicle... though with limitations due to speed.
How was the FDOT approval? Grueling, and expensive. The upshot is that when you do it, some of your investment is actually tax-deductible. |

Re: My Precedent nearly done
Custom audio added...
I was flabbergasted at how much money places are getting for overhead consoles... and some of those are cheap plastic!! So here was my solution: A $29 speaker box, Kenwood marine speakers I had from another project and a $49 stereo. I was going to use a Kenwood head that I had, but it weighed a lot with the built in CD player, and the sound wasn't very good. Against my better judgement I bought an inexpensive Pyle that didn't have a CD player (who uses a CD anyway???) I'm completely impressed with the Pyle. I was a nay-sayer believing they were crap... but the proof is here. This particular unit sounds awesome, looks and works great, has a removable face, remote control, and uses USB or SD Card or iPod 1/8 jack! Anyway... a little cutting, bolting and wiring and... BOOM! Self-contained sound that blows you away! Total investment = $80 (plus my time) The CC roof is exceptionally rugged and rigid, (4) 7/16" bolts hold the sound pod firmly in place without bouncing during cart use. Best of all - No carving into my cart. |

That is an awesome stereo idea! I am in the process of collecting some gear to install, I am going to do that same thing now. Thanks!
