Our G9 Project
My son and I have been working on this project for quite some time. Ater being bit by the golf cart bug (and this site)! I picked up this 1992 G9 that had been used hard at a Nursery hauling dirt and shrubs. It landed home in mid July of 2011. Here is what it started out as. It ran..but was lacking a throttle cable and drive belt.

Re: Our G9 Project
First thing in order was to strip off most of the parts and get it clean. The pressure washer worked great for this. It was filthy!

Re: Our G9 Project
I think we decided that since this was our first build we would go with a 4 inch lift and stay as close to the stock cart design as best we could. It needed a lot of TLC....

Re: Our G9 Project
More pressure washing. I had some POR 15 frame paint from my Chevy truck I had in pieces and decided to use that on the frame of the cart.

Re: Our G9 Project
We decided to finish the chassis first, to include painting it and start on the mechanical stuff. We replaced all tune up items(fuel, air filters, plug. Mobil 1 oil change etc. How she even ran before is beyond me.Dirt in the airbox..it was a mess. After replacing both belts and new throttle cable (all from site sponsers)! it fired up and ran great!

Thanks Irishjoker! The whole idea was to get my youngest involved with something besides his computer! He stuck with it but there were times he sort of let Dad do a lot of the work....kids...!
