Default new to carts bought a basket case cc

I just bought a 97 club car ds electric 48 volt cart. I plan on converting it to gas with a 16 hp clone and lifting it with a a arm 6" lift kit.
I am located in southeastern ohio and would like to know if anyone has any leads on a good parts source. I have been reading all i can and think that i can do it fairly easily. the main thing i need is a gas rear diff from an 96 or older cc,and the hope the engine mounts too.
Think this is gonna be fun,i am going to use this thread as a build thread and keep pics and progress updated.
if anyone knows of a graveyard that is fairly close id like to hear from you.

I have a '97 DS and will follow along on your build. I am interested in what you do to it. I am new to the golf cart world and find it as interesting as modifying my Harley bikes. I will look forward to your updates.

Good one to start with. it appears to be in good shape. As far as yards. there aren't too many. I would use craigslist and sometimes you will see ads for guys doing repairs on carts. I have done that and called around. I was able to get all my parts for My Melex project that way. I am now on the hunt again for EZGO stuff for a cart for my son! Hope that helps.

Good luck and keep us posted!

harbour freight has them on sale for 349 right now and with the 20% off 279 after tax and the 6.99 flat rate shipping it was 304 to my door.
bought a newer axle and it is missing the shifter fork and shaft. think i can fab something up.
also going to try to put hydralic brakes on it. ordered some ford festiva front brakes and the smallest cheapest wheel cylinders on ebay i could find. pics when i get parts.
