Just got this in a trade
Lots of "engineering": metal ezgo body, cart rims welded inside of 15" truck rims. an attempt at a 3 link in the rear welded solid. 212 predator with a small go-cart clutch. electric rear end(dana h12 I think?) top speed of about 4mph. no brakes.
I'm basically starting over from scratch. |

Re: Just got this in a trade
the cart might have a little more power than the Ford. It's got just over 300K on a 5.4.

Re: Just got this in a trade
It's not even a decent start for a project.
I'm going to try to find either a gearbox or rear that will let me have reverse. Then I'll sell the 212 predator and get a 420 predator. Coilovers in the back. alternator, lights, etc. I'm going to keep it as trashy, cheap and unsafe as possible. I'll try to get everything used, or use junk that I already have. |

Re: Just got this in a trade
I bet it's a slow launch with that engine and tire combo. Your cart looks like fun waiting to happen to me. If it goes like my 90 EZGO project, at some point you'll realize there's very little left of the cart. In my case all that remains of what I bought is the front axle/steering, the frame, the swing arm and the coil springs. I might use the seat pedestal tin too. Not sure yet. Everything else has been tossed.

Looks like you've got your work cut out for you. At least you've got a decent base to start with. Good luck and post pics.
