Default 99 Club Car DS

Figured I'll show the progress I've made on my '99 Club Car DS that I got for free and ran perfectly. It's got the FE-290 motor and had the factory rear seat (not a flip-flop). We use cruise around the neighborhood, mainly back and forth to the pool, but love it. Here's what it looked like when I got it.

Since getting it, I've done a lot of work to it. So far, here's what I've done:
CPP Machined driven clutch
Torque Spring in driven clutch
Rebuilt Drive Clutch
Tiny Tach
Light Kit
tinted windshield
5-panel rearview mirror
adjusted the valves, replaced all filters, oil, plug, etc

Before Christmas, I installed an Allsports Super Sport 6" A-Arm lift, 23x12 A/T tires, SS 212B wheels, and an add-a-leaf in the back for more support. I opted for the add-a-leaf after hearing how stiff the HD springs were.

After the lift, I decided to paint it all black, install speakers, radio, and dash, which I'm still working on, but here's where it stands now.

Painted the body with Dupli-Color rattle can Universal Black and Clear Coat. I still have to paint the top, but I need some warmer weather
Added 6-1/2" Polk Speakers (model DB651s) mounted on speaker pods
Replaced the floor mat with a rubber diamond plate mat from allmats.com
Ordered a Stretch Plastics black dash with radio cut-out. Once that arrives, I'll install my Sony head unit and put the front cowl back on.
I also got a Blue Sea fuse block that I plan to run through a relay to the ignition, but I haven't decided where I want to mount it yet so I've still got to knock that out.

Next, I'm planning to add:
Grant steering wheel (ordered it, should be here by the weekend)
Seat covers - still trying to decide if I want all black or a black/white, black/red, or black/gray combo.

Cart is looking good. I am wanting to mount a fuse block on my cart. Have you mounted yours yet? If so where did you mount it and how did you run the wires? Did you run them from the battery or from the ignition switch? Could you post a pic?

I ended up using a Blue Sea fuse block to run all of my accessories - radio, headlights, underbody lighting. The fuse block runs to a relay that runs to the ignition, this way the fuse block only gets power when the ignition is on. I wanted it this way so that I didn't have to worry about leaving the radio on and draining the battery and so the radio memory wire doesn't drain it either. The only downside is that the radio loses all stations and presets every time you turn the ignition off.

I don't know how to weld, so I cut up some sheet metal and made a frame to hold the fuse block and mounted that to the golf cart frame. It's nothing fancy, but it does the trick. Attached is a pic of the setup.

As for wiriing it, I just used a multi-meter to determine which post on the ignition got power with the key switch so I could hook the relay to that. Then for wiriing the relay, I just followed the diagram on the relay package... it's very straight forward. I got the relay at Advance Auto for like $5-7.

Here's how the cart looks now after finishing painting the top and adding under-cart lighting.

I just ordered black seat covers with charcoal stripes to finish it off.

This pic shows the dash and radio installed, how the speakers are mounted, and you can see the diamond plate floor mat.

I like the look and I have the same club car. Can you please tell me what kind of paint you used? and how you applied the paint? Did it take a lot of sanding? Thanks for sharing the photos.
