Club Car DS 2000.5
I got this Club Car DS 2000.5 back in November and this is how it looked when I bought it:
The only thing it needed right away was a new battery and new windshield. Other than looking outdated, it was in great shape. But I had to update it! |

Re: Club Car DS 2000.5
Here is how it looks 6 month later:
Painted yellow 12" polished aluminum wheels 12x7 FA118P Edge on Lo-Pro New seat covers Wood grain dash got off Ebay from Gulf Coast Carts New flush mount key switch New wood grain steering wheel Wood grain hip restraints Diamond plate rocker panels Back seat safety bar Diamond plate kick plate (haven't installed it yet, just came in) I polished the cowl trim and it looks a lot more shiny, but I would love to replace it with either a diamond plate or wood grain, but I can't find that anyone makes cowl trim. I also want to paint my top white or maybe have it painted the same color as the body - can't decide. White I can do myself, the yellow I'd have to see if the same body shop that painted the cart would paint the top. Any suggestions? I also need a rearview mirror but I might want to put in the overhead console stereo system - in which case I would lose the mirror. Any suggestions on how to have both? It's becoming an addiction-- you buy one thing and all of a sudden you gotta redo the whole cart... |

Nice ride Survivor! How do you like the dash. I am looking at either that one or the other option with 4 cup holders. Where'd you get the steering wheel? I wonder if you can adapt a vehicle steering wheel to work on a Club Car? Once again, nice ride!

I got the dash off Ebay - I think the seller was Gulf Coast Carts. If you get a dash like this you will probably have to get a new key switch - or at least we did. The stock key switch was black, threaded thing and it stuck out about 2" from the dash. We ordered a key switch from Buggies Unlimited that was for a gas cart, but was for an older model CC DS gas model. It fits flush. And yes I love the dash. I got the steering wheel from Buggies Unlimited also. If since added a diamond kick plate and the rear view mirror (Also from buggies unlimited): |

Yes Beater, I agree. A company that does body work for my husbands company painted the body. He has asked for the paint code and/or paint so we can get either some paint mixed for us or get the paint to do so with.
We've been on vacation this week, so hoping when we get back he can find out for me. |
