Almost new G16A
Well last week we bought a very lightly used 1999 Yamaha G16A from an estate sale. It was used 10 or 20 times when new to shoot ducks and/or clay pigeons. It came with a Featherlite aluminum trailer and nice wheels and tires, plus the OEM wheels and tires, all for 2750. It has never been on a golf course!
So over the week end we sold the trailer for 1K and sold our old 1976 HD 36V 4 wheel cart for 1025. Yesterday we sold the OEM wheels and tires for 100. So the upgrade cost us 625, SO FAR!!!! We have the flip/flop seat, light kit and 5 panel mirror on order. This cart is going to be used at our summer RV part here in NW Washington. I am pumped!!! We named it "Li'l Red"! Chris |

Re: Almost new G16A
Tires are 205/50-10's (18-8-10's). Like new, however they were made in week 52 of 1998. It was stored on the trailer inside for 8 years I believe as the last tab on the trailer was 2005. I really do not know why they sold it so cheap???
They had cleaned the fuel tank and carb to sell it. There was a guy ahead of me on it, and after testing it, the carb plugged up getting it on the trailer. So he was going to come back for it when "fixed" at 2500. I offered 2750 "as is"!! Had to keep after them, and they finally sold it to me. I cleaned the carb again. I found a piece of crud in the main jet and I do not think they had removed and cleaned the Main Nozzle. We live in a private community so, I have been driving it around a lot and it is running great. I turned the governor nut in almost all the way and one of our community radar signs clocked it at 18MPH. Speed is not going to be a problem at the RV resort, they have a 5 MPH speed limit on all vehicles. It takes 10 minutes each way to the gate to let friends in, and the park has 21 or 22 miles of roads inside the park. We have poker runs and parades, but commuting to friends for a party is one of the main uses. I have been looking for a gas cart as it will provide almost unlimited range within the park. BTW, I am going to use marina gas in it, as our local marina still has ethanol free gas. That ethanol $#*_$ is not good for small motors. I always fuel my pressure washer, chain saw and 50 HP Honda OB with marina gas. OH, and one of the guys down the road has a 50" TV in the top end of this barn like shed and they have drive-in movie nights. He has two lots side by side and room to park quite a few carts. DW wants a long roof to cover people in the back seat, but they appear to be very expensive!!! So that will have to wait a while. Old HD had a long fabric roof. Just checked and all the stuff (Flip/flop seat, lights, filters, keys and mirror) will be delivered today. Chris |

Cool. I'm the parts/service manager at NW Yamaha golf cars in Puyallup. If I can ever help, just give me a call and ask for Dave.
