Re: radio wiring??
put the battery in.......connect the RED (power) to the + post of the battery.....connect the BLACK (negative/ground) to the - post of the battery. if the radio you have has a separate wire for the memory (lots of times its yellow) connect it up to the + post as well.

Re: radio wiring??
I have mine on a toggle switch just so I can make sure it doesn't use any power when it is off.

Re: radio wiring??
If you don't want it to draw ANYTHING when off. Wire the red and yellow to one terminal on the switch, run a lead from the other terminal through a proper rated fuse (the radio may already have a fused power lead, if so, ignore this step) then run the lead from the fuse to the positive (+) post on the battery. Wire the negative (black) wire right to the negative (-) post on the battery.

Re: radio wiring??
Just curious, why does no one mention wiring the remote switch from the radio to a wire on the key switch on the cart?
I have been thinking this question for a few days now...is there not a hot wire on the key to hook to? The run then + and - to the extra battery or a cart battery? This is what I was thinking about doing then hooking up a small solar charger to the extra 12 volt battery. Please tell me if I have no idea what I'm talking about because I really don't when it comes to carts...just got one. (Are the wires running through the key switch all negative instead of positive)? I am also planning on hooking up a battery meter and if the key has a hot wire then a relay should be able to run from the hot wire to trigger the battery hot wire to the meter and cut it on and off. |

Re: radio wiring??
It can be run through the ignition switch, if it is a 12v switch.
