First Cart, definitely a project
Well I picked up my first cart yesterday. I happen to trade and overall I have about 300 in it (counting what I traded). Already ordered a lift, looking for a top, and have tons of plans. It appears to of had a rear seat but now now flip flop exist. Just a piece if plywood :( . Gotta figure out what to do with it. I have a buddy that paints do I'm pulling it apart for paint. Overall pretty excited. Batteries hold a charge and are 2 yrs old.

From your member name, I would think your first call would be to scottyb for electronics.(speed)., and heavier battery cables as well, If iam seeing those you posted a pictures of correct, they look suspect.
The body looks good, a little rust here and there, but all in all a great project cart.. What colors are you thinking about? Good luck with your build. Marc |

I was thinking all black since it will be a cruiser and hunter. Wife wants it black with teal flakes since we are Jacksonville Jaguar fans (yes they do exist :) ). Still undecided but wife normally gets what she wants lol.
Picked up some black maybe vinyl to start on the seats, also started the disassemble for cleaning and paint. Yay. Pics to come. Any one have pics of mounting points for those that have built their own cages? What did you use for canvas top? ,Too hot in Florida to not have a top lol. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2 |

It's raining here so I had done extra black vinyl laying around from an old project. So why not start on the seat :):sly:
This will be a slow project but stay tuned. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2 |

Re: First Cart, definitely a project
A member on here has done the canvas top on his roll cage and I am sorry I cant think of his member name. Look up cargo top on search. I think?
But that's my cure for the roll cages since I am in the boating industry I know a canvas person or two that can do the grommets on Sunbrella. Crash has a friend in the canvas business, too. Nice job on your seat back... |
