yep, carbon canister, Yamis have 'em tucked in the rear fender too. disconnecting it wont help performance, but if they add Egr and Catalyst, im gonna be PO'd.

Ah well I guess there would be no benefit to bypassing it then

Thanks guys. I really like the cart, the only thing I'm unhappy with is the suspension, I had been going back and forth on the txt and the s4, but if I got the txt I was going to finance the jakes long travel kit into the deal as well. For some reason I thought the s4 had an a arm suspension, and ended up spending the extra money for the s4 because of all the features and thinking I had the a arm suspension I wanted, but once it was delivered I saw it was still a leaf spring suspension, even though it had the 4" lift. Oh well, I really like the cart but would like to have a long travel setup, and now it's too late to finance it in. But the owner loved my yamaha that I traded in so much he said he wants to have me spray some carts for him next season, so maybe I can do a few for a credit and get a long travel setup if one is available.

Couple reasons, the place I go to didn't have that yamaha and yamaha only wanted to go 3 yr term and 11.99% apr and ezgo gave me 5.9%apr on a 5 yr term. So I didn't look too hard at the yamahas they did have.

Ok i didnt kjow if it was performance, reliability, or comfort that steered you towards the ezgo. Price can make the difference as well.

S4 should be the same suspension as the TXT so there is one available. If you go look at my build thread The rebuild of the beast from boke.. there are some pics of the long travel Jakes with the S4 cowl. The shock cover and brush guard will have to go away and some mods to the Jake guard and your golden. I'll get better pics this weekend.

Yeah jakes got back to me and said it looked like it would work but wasn't sure which hubs were on the s4. It looks good on yours, I think the jakes guard sticks out too far, but I want to fab up a custom brush guard on mine because I don't like the one that's on it so I would probably still do the same. I have to wait now because I had wanted to finance the long travel into the loan if I had gotten the txt, but didn't when I went with the s4 can't take that much loot right now coming into Christmas season.
Unrelated, what is the hole in your s4 cowl up top for?

Believe it or not that cart is a 98 only slightly modified. Just has the new cowl. That cowl is made for the Bad Boy Buggie with the 4 X 4 setup. On it they have batteries up front so this allows access. I was just using this to see if it would fit, the one I get painted won't have that.
