My first cart build
Well this is my first cart build but I am big into offroad racing stuff like that and am really good at fabricating. I have no idea what kinda cart I have but I dont think it will matter. Rear already has the swing arm and engine out of a polaris 250cc. The front is going to get the front out of that same atv. My plan is to replace all the aluminum frame with steel frame (1x3 maybe?), roll cage, and a bunch of the little things to make it function and look cool.
I have a question to start off with. How do I adapt the brakes off the atv to work with the cart pedal? Any other suggestions anyone has will be great because this is my first build Thanks |

You have a Club Car DS cart.
Why do you want to replace the aluminum frame? Not sure what kind of brakes the ATV has so a little more information would be required to answer that. What is your end vision for this cart? |

figure steel would be easier to attached to like the front suspension roll cage. and stronger but correct me if I am wrong and you think the aluminum frame would be ok to work with all bolt on.
Disk front and rear and the system itself is all cable Im shooting for a cool offroad capable rig that is pretty quick and can handle the desert. Ill post a picture of one i saw i like |

I like the look of this one and how it performed from reading up on it. I wanna keep some of the golf cart body though and use the same tires off the atv now

Attached are a few pictures of what I got. Still thinking of going full tube chassis because of the condition of the rear sub frame now. Front is getting the atv suspension pictured

O I know that's why it has to be re done. Full tube chassis is what I'm thinking unless anyone has any other advice. I the middle body of the cart welded to the frame?

I mean if you can build a frame from scratch, just do that and put the body on it. It's not really a golf cart then, but a dune buggy with a golf cart body. But that's cool.

Well plans change keeping the aluminum frame from behind the seat up and building a new sub frame. Attached is a picture of whats going on the front
