Emerald EV build
I picked up a cheap cart from the local dealer. It's a Chinese copy of a club car...headed for the scrap yard. It started out life as electric. When it's done, it will have a 420 predator and 33" tires. I'm not sure how much lift I'll need....so far, I have an 8" double a-arm from everythingcarts. I'll get that on and add a z-bracket for any more lift. The lift showed up with most of the bolts and hardware loose in the bottom of the box. I'm not sure what I'm missing so I sent a couple emails to everythingcarts....no reply in almost 2 weeks. I'm just buying bolts from the hardware store as I need them.
So far this is where I am.(sorry about the crappy cell phone pics....I tried to crop out the messy garage) front lift almost finished...The Chinese ball joints are bigger than what will fit with the lift. I'll either drill them out or find some that are the right size. and here's what I'm replacing....I built this last year but the frame is pretty rusty and I'm not real happy with the way it turned out. |

Re: Emerald EV build
a little more progress tonight. I'm thinking 6 more inches of lift and I'll be set.

Re: Emerald EV build
14" of lift? What size tires are those? What electrical components are you going to use to turn them?

Re: Emerald EV build
It worked pretty well on the red thing...I'm using the same rear so I think it will be enough.

Re: Emerald EV build
I got the 6" z-bracket mostly done. I had to take it apart a few times and broke some of my bolts. I'll get some more and hopefully have the front end done tomorrow night.

Re: Emerald EV build
You broke some of the bolts!
I would be putting grade 8's in there. Your talking about the safety of loved ones and anybody who rides with you. |
