Default My 99 TXT just about completely done....I think

Finished my new mods last week and finally took her out in the neighborhood. Promptly started smoking badly so back in the garage she went. Have a 16hp Vanguard I'm going to put in her and I have quite a few questions. But I will start that thread later. The pics I'm posting are of mine and my next door neighbors "Michigan" cart. Built mine a few years back, until these new mods, and he decided to build one also. Can't ask for a better neighbor either. One of those, if he comes over, he has a beer in each hand, and if I go to his house I'm carrying beer for both of us. Sometimes a few too many.

Anyhow, I'm not half the mechanic or fabricator than many of the people on this forum but I try. My main goal this time around was to make the cart street legal with a couple other bumps. One of the things needed was seat belts.

Also needed a horn. Didn't want to go with a dash switch. My wife wanted it on the steering wheel. Some after some thought, it is now activated by the center switch on the wheel.

Also it was going to need turn signals. I am not a fan of the column mount assemblies. No disrespect to anyone who has one. I wanted mine to be sort of incognito, if you will. Ended up coming up with this set up that is foot operated. Ran two LED's in each front parking lamp so that I could have the fronts as well without sacrificing the marker lights.

You can also see the speaker boxes I fabbed up in these pics and the previous ones. The previous ones with the seat belts by them each hold two 6.5" speakers and the floor mounted have one apiece.

It also was going to require brake lights. Did the norm but decided to also run a third high mount.

The stereo now has two amps driving it. Darn thing cranks up huge. Re-did the headliner area. Didn't care for the first one I did.

Also want an off road type of light bar but couldn't find one so I ended up making my own.

I also wanted a little more stability for the rear passengers. Came up with this. Made a hitch for it and then welded up the foot rest you see. Makes it a lot nicer to be in the rear.

If you happened to notice the tiny little bolt on windshield wiper on mine, Ohio law requires one. I found this online on a boat site for around $35. I will keep it in a glove box or somewhere because I'll never use it. Too many electronics for this cart to see rain.
