$100 93 marathon with Parts (Big Pics) & Questions
I just bought another ezgo marathon from a buddy this weekend for $100. Same story as all the others with the rusted out battery tray. With this cart he included a Drop Axle lift, 6 used batteries that reads 5.92 and hasnt been charged in a year, a charger, REmaned? 1206MX Controller by golframa, and a few other odd and ends.
I have a $1500 budget that i set for the cart to be used for our family in the neighborhood and campgrounds. I will be doing all the work to the cart myself. This go around I'm gonna stay electric, unlike the 6hp marathon i did 2 years ago. I plan on buying a new set of trojans and keep it 36v. First off: After 2 post edits it looks like it I would not be able to use this controller because of the speed sensor. I'm not sure If i can install the magnet in the motor. I understand that I would have to buy a pedal assembly to use with the "ITS" input, run tow switch, fnr contactor. but I beleive the speed sensor would be the down fall to this swap. I'm not looking for a hotrod just a Neighborhood & Campground cruiser. Back to the drawing board for ideas on how to set up this older cart to atleast stay afloat with the new carts as "drive-train" goes. |

Re: $100 93 marathon with Parts (Big Pics) & Questions
That controller in your hand is for a PDS drive system. The marathon cart you have is a series drive system,. the PDS controller will not work in the marathon with out all of the PDS parts, motor, wiring harness, ITS throttle, F/r switch, tow/run switch, and a few other things. The drop axle is for a 2001.5 and up TXT
