Default Synthetic oil in golf cart.

I have a club car ds. I have been running regular oil in it for the whole time I've had it. I have just recently thought about running synthetic oil in. It is time for a full oil change in it, and I thought about switching to the other. Is this type oil good for small engines? It has the Kawasaki 290 OHV. I don't want to mess up a perfectly good golf cart. I just know this stuff is good and was hoping it would help it last. Thanks!

Running mobil1 10w-30 in my kf82.
I've used royal purple in my car on occasion, if its cheaper then mobile1 at the time.. I've never been to impressed.
Sure its better then conventional, but I prefer mobil1

Once you pick a brand, you should stick with it. All oil brands unless it's a non detergent oil typically for use in a motorcycle with a wet clutch use detergents, mixing different brands of oil causes reactions between the detergents that can cause a build up of sludge. If switching brands is a must run an engine flush followed by a full and drain then a final fill with the new brand of oil.

In the FWIW department:
Not much experience with carts but, as another poster opined, I've used Mobil 1 for years and in all kinds of engines. And used Mobil-1 V-twin in my Harleys. Absolutely no complaints or misgivings.

If in doubt, look up the API specs for your cart and compare to Mobil-1 (SN, SM, CL).

BTW, my new-to-me Marathon gets its first oil change in a day or two: Mobil 1.
