Default Painted my buggy

Here are some pics of my reworked buggy. I have new light blue on dark blue seat covers comeing and a new chrome faced light kit.
The paint was left over from my 67 Mustang project so I figured I would paint the buggy to match the car.

looks good , but I think it would been easier to take the body off then masking it off

No tach, just a dummy gauge cup I had left over from the car. Stang is in the paint shop now, I wont try painting that on my own, Im ok for buggies, but I want the car done better than this.

Ohhhhh heck no, taping is a lot faster and easier than removing the body. Unless you know some tricks I dont

Getting ready to experiment with painting the top. Gonna try some plastic primer, followed by spray on rubberized bed liner, the color coat of dark blue.
I put that bedliner in the floor of my duck boat (fiberglass over wood) worked like a champ, same with my truck.

Looking good! Did you do that in the garage? Masking isnt that bad but you typically get a cleaner paint job by taking stuff apart. Either way, nice work!

Gydyup, paint job looks great. Is that a 4" gauge cup? I have searched high and low and cant find one.

No, its just a little 2 5/8 I think, but check Autometer at either Jegs or Summit Racing. I think they make em. I know I have one on the 5 inch Monster Tach in the Mustang.

This is just left over crap I had laying around the shop, a bigger one would be nice, nothing in it, its empty, so I can tilt it forward and use it as a beer holder

When I painted mine I took the cart apart. If I were to do it again I think I would just mask and tape it. The body is very flexible and I had to fabricate a wood rack to hold the two pieces. Just took a lot more time.

I used a HVLP gun and automotive lacquer. 3 coats primer, 5 coats color, 3 coats metal, 5 coats of clear..... really came out nice.

I used plastic paint in spray cans bought from Auto Zone to color the top. That came out nice as well.

Snazziest golf cart at Capitol City....
