1. Turn key on cylinoid clicks cart does not move.
2. 10 minutes later cart starts running fine. Intermittent problem.

1. Perhaps I'm being nit-picky, but at least 3 conditions should exist for the solenoid top click.
a. Key = ON
b. F/R = Either F or R
c. Pedal = Pushed

2. If the solenoid is clicking and the cart isn't moving, the problem is most likely in the High Current loop.

Here's a schematic of a series cart with the high current loop traced.

It is going to be tricky to find since it is intermittent.

Not much difference between plumbing and electrical. The pipes look different and what flows in plumbing pipes smells while what flows in electrical pipes spark, but the way they work is about the same.

The solenoid is an electrically operated valve and if it doesn't open, the water doesn't flow.

The controller is a pressure regulator. (Adjustable flow control actually)

The motor is a waterwheel or turbine.

The throttle is the adjustment knob on the pressure regulator.

The battery pack is the the mill pond or water tank.

------------------

What is the battery pack voltage?
How often do you charge the batteries?

The symptoms sound a bit like a battery problem, so that's probable the best place to look first.

Re: 2001 txt 36volt

It could be a controller problem, or it could be a battery problem, or it could be a throttle (ITS) problem.
Need to do some troubleshooting to know for sure.

However, if upgrading the controller is in your plans for the cart, this might be a good time to do it.

Of course, you have to figure out what the end goal is and then work towards it.
Take a gander at how to determine what your controller/solenoid needs are:
