2003.0 or 2003.5 Club Car DS Lift ?'s

I am not sure what the differences are in the carts as I have tried calling Club Car and they gave me the, "I dont know what you are talking about answer!"

Anyway, I am converting an Electric Cart to Honda GX390 Gas Engine (already had the engine) to use as a Sporting Clays (golf with Shotguns) Cart . It has a Bench Back Seat for a total of 4 Fat Butts. I will need a Lift Kit for clearance to mount the Engine. What would you guys recommend for a kit that is sturdy and what size tires should I go with? I will need a Heavy Duty Kit with rear springs for the added weight etc.

Does anyone have any good build links/stories/photos for guys doing the gas conversions?

Thanks,

Joe

The difference in the 2 club car ds lifts are the spindle sizes I'm pretty sure. My 2004 gas has the black plastic front hub dust covers, the older models had a metal hub dust cover. I think for a big block conversion they call for a 6" lift but don't quote me on that.

Jakes and allsports seem to be the most used. Check the site sponsors and go from there. I bought the allsports 6" supersport lift, I havnt installed yet but it seems to be a quality unit. There are kits that come with the heavy duty rear leafs too. The biggest question is the terrain youll be driving around on.

Thank you.

Next question, What are the differences between an All Sport A Arm Lift kit and a Super Sport Lift Kit. I havent seen a good description of the differences.
