Same troubles as some
 

Hi folks,
I have been doing some reading but am still ignorant. My daughter and cousins were riding our 2007 ez go TXT the other day when all of a sudden they said it just stopped (if that is REALLY what happened remains to be seen, LOL). We charged it up and I checked it the next day and sure enough it will not move forward or backward. I can hear the solenoid activate when you press the pedal but that is it. I see where some are saying check the speed controller but I honestly don't know where that is. Any help on this is appreciated and I apologize for a post that is similar to others. Thanks again.

The speed controller and solenoid are under the black cover mounted on the heatsink at the rear of the space in front of the passenger side rear wheel.

The F/R switch assembly is located at the front of the same space.
(I peeked at a picture you posted in another thread and your cart appears to be a series rather than a PDS)

If the solenoid is clicking (clunking) the problem is in the high current circuit, which is highlighted on attached schematic.

Jack the rear wheels off ground and put on jackstands so the half ton cart doesn't take off unexpectedly and run over someone or something and have somebody press pedal while you check voltages.

When the pedal is pushed just far enough to activate solenoid, you should have full battery pack voltage on every red line on schematic.

BTW: What is the pack voltage?

It is a 36 volt cart. Thanks for your help!!

Sorry, I meant what does the 36V battery pack measure?
Fully charged a 36V pack measures 38.2V about 12 hours after thhe charger shuts off.

After some time of looking and tracing wires my dad noticed that the wire loom by the solenoid terminal had been burned and the insulation on a ground wire had been burnt as well. Took care of that and she is running good again. Once again thank you very much for the help!!!
