Looking for Wiring Diagram for YDRE with Factory Lightss
I am starting work modifying my YDRE (2012) that has the factor lights installed and the wiring diagram that I have does not include the Lights and the voltage reducer. I have the round state of charge meter and it is powered even when the run/tow switch is in Tow. I need to add some stuff to the dash so I really want to know what the wiring looks like including the 12V stuff.
If anyone has a complete wiring diagram I would appreciate a copy! |

Yamaha does not provide wire diagrams for "accessories", your lights, while installed at the factory, are considered accessories. Thats the answer Yamaha gave me. Sorry man, SOL.

Re: Looking for Wiring Diagram for YDRE with Factory Lightss
Thanks for trying cgtech! I can figure it out - not that complicated. I think the reducer must be powered through the key switch since the lights don't work when the switch is off. The reducer wires are marked and easy to trace. I am adding some stuff to the dash that needs 12V. I am sure that I can find 12V somewhere there.

Depends on the reducer but my new one gets the main 48 from the pack and has a trigger wire from the keyswitch. Less strain on the switch. My newest one that I haven't installed yet actually has a 12 volt constant as well. Not sure if it is a different circuit but provides a memory wire source for a radio. Going in the next build.

There should be an extra 12 volt lead taped up in the wire harness bundle about where it diverts down and the headlight leads. Useually with red tape.

Re: Looking for Wiring Diagram for YDRE with Factory Lightss
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the YDRE in general?
I'd like to kill the power to my voltage reducer when the key switch is off, but can't find anything unless I t-tap into the key switch wiring. Is there any other way? |
