Ezgo DCS power

Have a DCS cart with good batteries. Batteries 38.4 off the charger for 12 hours. Everything oN cart is stock Runs great on flat ground and climbs a hill great on the run. Problem is when you try to take off up a hill or drive up a trailer ramp, crawls then stops. Same hill in reverse is no problem at all. Any suggestions short of a new controller?

No ....
Actually check your battery voltage (during) when the cart is performing poorly.
You want to see how far down the pack goes when the cart is under performing.
