RHOX Steering Wheel adapter question

I installed this today and I'm wondering if this gap is normal in the adapter? I double checked to make sure it’s the correct one and it is.

I have the same issue but with a wheel and adapter from a different source. Bothered me for a couple of days then I got over it. Can't see it when driving anyway.
