Default Test my electric motor without good batteries?

Is it possible to test my 6 volt electric motor without 6 good batteries?

Can I hook up an alternate source of power to the Turf Rider IV just to verify the motor functions? Thank you.

Nice Rib You can also just use a 12 volt battery for the test.

I have a question regarding the "break" between A and B. Is that where a good battery goes?

And SB, if so, is that where I can place a 12V for the test?

I'm seeking the easiest way to verify - even if only for a moment - whether the motor functions. I just don't want to fry anything in the process.

Thank you.

You hook all the wire up like you see in the diagram, if you use just one 12v battery, hook it up like the first battery in the diagram the battery to the left of the pic. the A and B is where you make and break the connection, like an on and off switch for the power to the motor, if you don't make the connection like in the diagram, you will ruin the battery post. Or the post on the motor because it will spark like your welding when you make the connection

When I tested my motor, I used jumper cables from the 36v charger to the motor. It spun up just fine, sorry I don't remember which lugs I used on the motor. If you are in need of any of the electrical parts from Elroy, I would sell mine.

Thank you, Jim. I *MAY* be interested, depending upon the direction I choose to go with the project.

Please send a message to: RepLeBlanc@aol.com or provide your address and I'll message you. Thank you.
