1974 Pargo
I'm a new member who recently picked up what I think is a 1974 Pargo . Serial # 380623 . It was a friend of mines dad who passed away , and its sat out in the weather for a few years . The price was right (FREE) .
My plans are to restore it back to its past glory with a few newer creature comforts added . |

Welcome and,,really cool! Is that mossy camo on the cowl? Hey some people pay big money for that! Really cool cart though, love the way the cowl molding curves into the floor sill! More pics and welcome to the addiction.

Re: 1974 Pargo
Crash Test Dummy , I just read your thread on the green 72 Pargo which by the way cleaned up real nice . Your pictures are very helpful because I took the solenoid plate and heat shield off for painting and I wasn't sure if I put it back on right .
I won't be selling mine as the girlfriend has already fell in love with it and claimed it as hers . It was free , but I've already invested over 600 buck in parts and accessories . It sure does add up fast . Repairs have begun and after taking up the rubber mat I discovered that the floor pan was roached . I replaced it with some heavy galvanized plate steel I had left over from a trailer project . I also had to replace a couple of bad solenoids , but it runs all 3 speeds and reverse . |

Re: 1974 Pargo
Some of the accessories that I've purchased for it . I've also purchased headlights , taillights , and turn signal assembly for it . The fiberglass body isn't in to bad of shape , and plan I on repainting it candy apple red .
Hope you guys like pictures , more to come . |

I've also repainted the rims , purchased a couple of tires , and fabricated a trunk deck lid for it with a VW trunk latch .

Re: 1974 Pargo
The front right side had a crack so I've fiberglass matted the inside after some nifty clamping to close the crack up . After it hardened I removed the clamps and matted the rest of the crack with about 4 layers of matting . A little body filler and primer on the outside and you can't tell it was ever cracked .
