Identify this horn
These horns were used on the 1940s electric shoppers by Marketeer, Motorette and Autoette. These shoppers were the predecessors to the golf cart, especially the Marketeer. The horns are 5" OD. I have not been able to locate any of these horns on the market, nor have others in the old Autoette group, they are next to impossible to find. I can't even find a photo of another one.
I would at least like to identify the manufacturer. They are similar to the ones by E.A. Laboratories that made many of the motorcycle horns. E.A. made one with a similar grill, but the openings were jagged lines like lightning bolts, not a smooth swirl. Plus, all the horns by them have embossed "EA" in the center and are built slightly different with a riveted on front cover. Any idea who made these? Anyone have one on an old cart with a better logo? I have enhanced the logo to make the lightning bolts stand out and filled in what letters I can see under magnification. The entire center was cream colored. The company name is very faint red and seems to only have 4 or 5 letters. The first letter is possibly an O or a fancy C. I also show an EA horn for comparison. Re: Identify this horn
I was finally able to identify the manufacturer. The logo is from the Jubilee Manufacturing Co of Omaha. Here is a different style horn with that logo.
