Default 70's Club Car Caroche...what's it worth?

I'm going to be selling my caroche. It's in pretty good shape, has had some fiberglass work on the frontend. Runs and operates as it should. Batteries hold a charge and comes with charger. It has a top but not sure if it's original. Parking brake works but as with most of these, the hydraulic primary system doesn't. Needs a master cylinder. Just trying to figure out a rough value. I can't find many past sales to get an idea as there aren't many around. Thanks for any input!

Brake parts no longer available - I think you might have to give some financial incentive to lure a buyer

Terrible pictures but you get the idea. I put a set of newer club car hubcaps on it. I am also going to include my newer wheels/tires from my 99 DS. I'm thinking about putting it in our local 4h auction...just don't know what to set the reserve at.

FWIW...

I gave $350 for this one. It needed one battery replaced ($115) and the charger repaired ($110). Runs and drives, hydraulic brakes and park brake both work, has headlights, tail/brake lights, turn signals.

Looks pretty nice! That's what i'm trying to figure out...was that a steal or is there not enough interest in them to be worth any more than that. I think their body shape looks pretty good...especially the rear "fenders".

I'm not very familiar with them (still researching and learning), but I think mine was a "steal." I would think they should typically be worth more than that.

Parts do seem somewhat had to find, so that severely limits the value to those not ready to tackle that challenge.

I'm a fabricator/custom car/bike builder (by hobby, not by trade), so older stuff doesn't scare me. If I can't find a part, I'll find a way to adapt something else or custom-fab.

I also like the Caroche design. It has the vintage look because it is, well... vintage!

My plan is some mild customizing, new paint & upholstery and new wheels.

Ya I figured that was a good deal. Sounds like we are similar type people. Should be easy enough to make a different master cylinder work...I just haven't had a need to do it yet. We don't use it much, just around the yard. I may throw mine on craigslist and hope for the best.

I've rebuilt a number of master cylinders and wheel cylinders in years past that "parts were not available for" by taking the rubber cups, pistons and boots to the parts store and matching them up with whatever would work. One time it took cups/pistons from one kit and boots from another, but it got the job done.

Of course that method only works if you have a parts store that will let you spend an hour digging through kits on their shelf. Forget that idea at the newer "make, model and year, sir?" stores. Napa is usually willing to let me peruse the shelves if/when necessary.

kmfl98,
Hello, and good luck with your sale.

If you want to rebuild the brake system, I have found a Master cylinder and wheel cylinders that will work on these cars.

The Master Cylinder is a Raybestos, part number MC4360, and it is a direct replacement, no mods needed.

The wheel cylinders are Dorman W19236, or Wagner WC19236.

I am using the master cylinder, but decided to upgrade to the Carryall 272 brakes, so I didn't use the wheel cylinders.
