1964 cushman 780 Truckster
I’m having transmission problems with a 1964 cushman 780 truckster. The scooter wants to pop out of 2nd and 3rd gear easily when going down the road. I have the tranny apart and the gears look okay. The small springs and balls seem to move freely. A couple of gears and shafts look to be slightly pitted from maybe water being in the box at one time. Everything looks to be tight with no play. The linkage has been basically redone and tightend up a lot.
Any suggestions? The engine is the original 8hp cast. |

Cushman iron trans. lots of the parts fit from others. The shifter slide is probably worn as well as the engagement teeth on the gear. Turfspray@aol.com
