Default Wean Engineering Golf Cart

Hello again,
I recently posted about a golf cart I had recently acquired and wanted to find out any information on it that anyone might have.My initial thread described it as a golf cart with rear fenders that were suggestive of a 58-62 Corvette, and that the cart was built in the Warren,Ohio area. The cart was delivered to me on Saturday, and it turns out this golf cart was a prototype for a line of carts that was to be built by a wealthy Warren,Ohio industrialist by the name of Raymond Wean.He owned Wean Engineering and Wean Equipment in the Warren,Ohio area, and had his engineers build this prototype.I have about 30 sets of detailed engineering plans for the building of this cart.I would like to know if anyone might have an idea of the manufacturer of the platform the Wean cart was based on.Someone suggested the similarity to a Caroche, but this cart was built in around 1962-1963,so I think it predates the Caroche. It is a 4 wheeler, which is unusual for that time (?),but still has tiller steering.Any thoughts or info on this cart would be GREATLY appreciated!.Will try to upload more pics from my office tomm;could only upload one via my iPhone.

Here is a picture of the cart "back in the day"-note the wheelcovers, with the monogrammed "W" for Wean-it does look like someone, over time, has modified the front wheel cutouts and squared them off somewhat.

Perhaps the interior dashboard shot will give someone a clue to the original platform?..Would sure like to know the running gear so I can start on the electrics and mechanical,so if anyone has a clue, that would be great.Thank you.

It actually looks like the nose is different in this picture than on your cart. Look at the lines up by the dash and the center part that hangs down.

What part of S. FL? I’d love to see this thing in person if you’re not too far from Miami.

What’s your plan, original restoration or resto-mod? The good thing about carts being so simple/basic is that in a situation like this it is probably fairly easy to retrofit more modern running gear and electronics into it if you can’t find the OE parts needed to make it run.
