Walker cart questions

I have a walker executive cart pretty sure it's all original. I'm trying to figure out what year it is. When I search for them I find a lot of the jato walker executive carts. No where on mine does it say jato so what does the jato mean?

Well, that's an awesome cart that's for sure. I have never heard of the brand but that isn't completely unusual for old carts. I have a handful of vintage carts that I have restored and have found that, unfortunately, most can't be dated with any certainly. This is mostly because a lot of these cart makers didn't make a whole lot of carts, didn't keep records, and don't exist anymore. I have had some luck with generally dating carts by way of some of the parts in them; engine markings, carb numbers, etc. That will normally get you a general range. For example, one of my old electric carts has an old Baldor motor on it. When researching the motor I could tell that they were made from 1947 - 1951. Therefore, it's likely my cart is from that time. Unfortunately, my efforts were stopped there.

I can see you have a Kohler engine in that. Research the crap out of that thing to see what years it may have been produced. Take that carb off and see if it has any markings on it as well/

From my research walker was the first gas powered cart. Made 57-63 in the farmers ( max walker) barn in Kansas.
I didn't think about tracing the engine thanks I'll try that way.

Here are a few more even have the top cover for it but no material. Pay no attention to the bird poop it's been sitting in the shed for a few years. There should be a plate to in the center there but I took it off to clean. It says designed and built by walker manufacturing.

Now I'll give you guys the full story. About 6 years ago my parents bought the blue cart and also a yellow ( parts cart) at an auction for $100. I thought they looked cool but not a lot of interest aside from that. Till a few weeks ago and saw a rough one at a car show. That peeked my interest. Wrapping this up the blue one is a survivor and I want to keep it original. I dug the yellow one out today floor is rusted out but still 95% complete. I'm thinking putting a new engine and floor in the yellow one and use it for play.
