70ish Eagle Car (leaf spring)
I've had my eagle for almost 6 years and had to restore it from frame up... Luckily the westinghouse motor works great, as did the brakes. The rest was completely rewired with all new solenoids...
For anyone else who has an older cart that still uses the resistor for power convergence I have found not to push the car too much with heavy loads or up hill as this will over heat your wireing... I just recently snapped a leaf spring and was wondering if anyone knows where to get a replacement. Thanks, Odie |

Sorry I don't have any online pics to list... Tried to paste but didn't work..
The finished product is shown in my avatar... Today I start to take the spring out, not looking forward to it... Odie |

Re: 70ish Eagle Car (leaf spring)
Is that the cart where the spring runs the whole length of the cart... One spring on each side and they work for the front and rear suspension?

Re: 70ish Eagle Car (leaf spring)
Yes, there are only 2 springs... 1 on each side front to back...
I think I messed up when I placed a 2 inch lift for the rear, the break came just beyond the lift... I will be taking those out when I dismantled the springs.... |

Thanks for the pics Odie. That's a cool looking cart, I don't remember ever seeing one before.
