Default 1962-1964 Club Car (see pics)

Hey guys,
Looking for my next project and a buddy of mine said his boss had an old cart setting out in the weeds behind one of the building where he works & that they ran it some about 5yrs ago untill the batteries would no longer hold charge. Looks like it is a 62-64 club car from what I can find on the web, but this one has a steering wheel instead of a tiller (I am sure the wheel is original as well as the entire cart all the way down to the canopy) his boss told me to make an offer (36 volt less charger) I am wondering if anyone has one of these or knows anything about them? I am thinking parts will be next to imposible to find, could some of the system be upgraded to newer stuff? Any idea what would be a fair offer on something like this?
THANKS for any input.

Thumbs up Re: 1962-1964 Club Car (see pics)

Try and find out if he has any knowledge of it what year how long has he owned it try to get a feel for what kind of guy he is. Does he want to just get it out of his yard what!
I would talk to him and since it's so old not running and it's been outside $100.00 $200.00 tops!
I'd offer him $100.00

Thanks for the input Andy. From what my buddy told me it has been setting for about 5 years. They guy who has it said he had no idea what it would be worth to make an offer. I did tell my buddy to let him know I would go $100 so we will see what happens.
THANKS

What a sweet cart. Might have some collectors value. I would just tell him I am just looking for a project and it will take $$$ batteires and such and like Andy said above $100-$200. Start at $100.

I realize it's an old post, but it looks to be all there, minus the seat bottom and charger. I would worry about steering issues, some early cars were terrible. Any electric car can be updated to solid state components (for a price) and the driveablity would be so much better, but it could devalue the car as compaired to restorized original. I could see it restored in the original color with upgraded speed control system, new seats and it would be very cool
