Default Pargo 6 Seater

All,

I picked up a Pargo 6 seat amusement park type cart for the kids to ride around the neighbor hood. I've checked everything out, it's all in pretty nice condition everything appears to work but the Electric Motor.

I really don't want to dump a ton of money into the cart for the kids. What would be the best thing price wise as well as long term wise? Should the motor just be rebuilt? Is there a way to convert over to gas that's not too crazy? I fab stuff myself, so I'm just looking for some ideas on what would work and what wouldn't. I don't want to reinvent the wheel..

Any help will be very appreciated.
