'73 Club Car Caroche Parts and help
Hey guys.... Have recently aquired a 73 Caroche.. My wife fell in love with the thing! I have to admit, it does have a certain charm...
The cart runs and stops great, but the steering gear box is shot. Does anyone know of a replacement?? Searched everwhere on the net. OR does anyone have one laying around??? Any help or a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks |

Ok.....so after pulling the cowl off my cart and getting an eyeball on the thing..... I remembered reading something about an adjustment screw...sure enough I found it and the box was waaaay out of adjustment.... Got her torqued down and its steering great! (well as good as a 40yld cart can steer) I have a few more tweeks but I think its coming around....

right on
I restored a 71 I think and got most of the parts from a place in Davenport Iowa. They do lots of old cart restorations. |

Re: '73 Club Car Caroche Parts and help
It's been probably 6 or so years since I wrenched on one but I may be able to help.
Do you have the metal script emblems? I had the two side that said Caroche but lost the C in Club Car so mine said lub Car The guy at vintagegolfcart parts had two front emblems one wasn't for sale the other was $150. Said in all his years doing it, those were the only two he'd ever seen as they get broken then discarded. Mine being nearly complete he said was still a rarety and very desireable as he'd get it fixed with a new C and re chromed |

Re: '73 Club Car Caroche Parts and help
I DO have the emblems....they came with it in a box with some extra parts... They were painted and the paint was peeled and flaking.... I soaked them in brake fluid...I had done this before on some other trim parts with good results... The brake fluid took the paint off and no damage to the trim...I must say they look pretty good! Ill get some picks up as soon as I can... Thanks for the info!
