Static drop on ezgo txt
Not wanting to add air ride, but does anyone know the possibility of lowering a txt that will have 14x6, 0 offset wheels, 205/30/14 tires with hd springs? I imagine it wouldnt be much but seeing if anyone had experience already. Im really excited to finally get this thing where i want it! Also waiting on rear seat kit as well.

Re: Static drop on ezgo txt
Don't think that will work, especially on the front. I have centered 14x6's on the back of my lowered PDS and they clear the body with no air in my shocks but doubt they would clear on the front.

Re: Static drop on ezgo txt
TerryH, not gonna lie but your cart has inspired me, i want the wheels to tuck as best they can so i went with the same ones you have! Just 14 in front instead of 12. Seem to be one of the few sets of wheels with that offset. I guess ill have to wait until they get here and fit them, should be tomorrow.
Side question, i know you can flip front springs or turn around fromt springs, but can you put "block" or spacer in between the leaf and front axle to bring the body down, just like on a rear leaf drop block? And if so would the ratio of drop to spacer be 1 to1? Thanks! |

Re: Static drop on ezgo txt
Got the new wheels on and im digging them! I like how they stayed tucked. Tried to get some different angles, what do you guys think about lowering? Im thinking i might just go an inch or so just ro close the gap a little more. Also got rear flip seat with cargo bed on. Waiting on some new rocker panels. Might pick out new steering wheel and column.

Re: Static drop on ezgo txt
Made my own drop kit. Went with 1&1/2" front and back. Used square tubing new hardware and made my own u bolts in back using 1/4" steel under leafs. Might need to trim bracket where the steering box mounts for full turn left. Toe needs to be reset also. This a 2000 model. One day ill get some better pics of this thing.

Re: Static drop on ezgo txt
other than plating the ends of them, they are really easy to do. id recommend making the top flat section alittle longer than I made mine and trimming off what you don't need. mine doesn't mount as far onto the cart as id like.
