lowering a yamaha g22
I have a yamaha g22 gas im wanting to lower and put it on some street tires and 12 inch rims. Has anyone lowered their g22? i havent found a lowering kit for this model. i think i can lower the front easily but not sure about clearance on the back since its a gas motor. does any one have pics of theres lowered? and what tires are you running.

Re: lowering a yamaha g22
Yes, it can be done. do a search in this section "lowing a Yamaha". I have a couple posts and pictures from acouple I've done. Just a note: have the wheels and tires you plan to use before cutting and tack welding the spindle bracket. This will deside the actual lowering drop needed for tire clearance and "lock to lock" tire rub. Also, leave alittle positive camber before finish welding. Good luck
