Rear Battery Install
Well, I did not like any of the rear battery installs that I could find pictures of, so I created my own little monster custom install (who, me?)
Here are some pictures for those who are interested. Hardest part were making templates, and materials are cheap. Reviews appreciate, bad or good. Cart is a 48v 2012 Precedent with a madjax 300 rear seat. Pic 1 is finished false wall using star board from a marine store. Pic 2 is side view of same. Pic 3 is equipment mounted behind false wall in old foot well. Pic 4 is storage area behind false wall and above battery and charger (tow kids, need all the storage I can get) This was pretty cheap to do, $38 for star board, aluminum angle from a hardware store was about $6, Misc. stainless screws about $5... Well, there it is.... |

Re: Rear Battery Install
If you look at picture three, there is a Marinco 6 amp charger mounted next to the battery in the foot well. The charging cords and the power cord to the amplifier both exit thru a small cutout in the bottom of the inspection plate. How does it get electricity you might ask, well it gets it from the same source as the onboard Lester charger, a pull out 12/3 reel that exits above the rear wheel in the wheel well. Both chargers become active when the wire reel is plugged into a single outlet.
