Default Few questions about bagging a '98 TXT

So when I originally joined, I saw the lifted section, and not a lowered one. (Didn't read the caption under "On Road" which is my bad!

So I recently scored a 1998 EZGO TXT for free. Its pretty rough, although has a lot of potential.

I have already sanded down the frame, sprayed rust reformer on, and getting ready to coat it with a few coats of black paint.

Thats all besides the point (If you're interested in the general build, its in the EZGO Electric section)

I see lifted carts more than I see stock carts. They're awesome, and id love a lifted ride, but I wanted to go a different route with this one. Its gonna be a neighborhood cruiser, so all paved roads.

I want to give it air suspension, so when its parked, I can drop it down low. I would love to lay the frame/side skirts on the ground, but with a decent looking wheel/tire combo, and a bunch of other barricades, I don't think thats quite possible.

My dilemma is, im a bit confused on making this work. I have never really worked with suspension before, so this is gonna be a learning project for me as I go along, so ill have alot of questions.

My front end has 2 (seemingly pointless) shocks, and then is actually held in place with the leaf springs. The leafs obviously have to go, right? That way the frame can go up and down while the front/rear axle stays in place.

How do I keep the front end connected? Someone said "swap the new steering on" but I can't find any information at all about the newer steering.

And since Photobucket sh*t on all of its users, its really hard going through build threads, they're 75% dead pictures, uploaded from PB.

Someone said make a "2 link" in the rear. I have to look that up a bit more. I have an idea of what it is, but no idea how to make or convert to it.

Put a long travel on it, minus the shocks, or at least ATV a arms. Add some upper bag mounts, and connect the lower to the lower a arm. Adjust upper mount height till it scrapes on the ground at 0psi. Then lift with air. Keep some 2x4s and a jack with you, in case you blow a bag or line. that's what I do in my Caddy.... but seriously, there is a lot to this. But it's not too bad if you can weld. I am going to do hydros in my next one...
