Electric G16 Motor performance?
Whats everyone's opinion on the Yamaha G16 electric engine? I would probably convert it to a 48V. I have one sitting in my back shed (36V rearend). I am possibly considering switching my custom build from a gas to electric. (Mainly due to engine room) I think the gas would be cooler and have a better for the sound as well. In my opinion you can't beat the sound of horsepower. Currently it is the original car frame that I am adding extra strength of one of my G16 frames and front suspension. I have a G2 rear end sitting there.

Re: Electric G16 Motor performance?
That's a really neat project! I wouldn't use a stock G16 electric motor on that project. It's gonna be too heavy, and it would turn out too slow. There are lots of options out there that might be suitable, but a motor that did about 13mph stock is gonna suck (will increase 33% @ 48v).
