Lowered Club Car
I've been lurking for years and finally bought a used Club Car DS to start my own project. I was thinking of lowering it, but I searched & didn't see anybody lowering their Club Cars. Any reason for that? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. If anybody had a picture of lowered DS, I would love to see it.

Re: Lowered Club Car
I have a few that i lowered to the ground. I would show you pics of it but I dont own a camera. I would rather spend money on my carts then on useless stuff like a camera.

Re: Lowered Club Car
Looking at my club car carts I didn't think it'd be too difficult to lower them at least a little. Rear you could put blocks, or de-arch the springs. Front has springs too, so could be de-arched or you could "flip" the springs so the arch is reversed. Probably a few others ways too really. Custom, but more work, would be 3 or 4-link the rear, and do a-arms up front, and bag it so you can lift/lower it whenever you want. Just have to get the right wheel/tire combo to fit the well arches, or tuck inside the wells, OR trim the body....
I planned to lower one of mine, and probably use airbags as well, but not sure what method I'll go with yet. |

Re: Lowered Club Car
couldnt you just buy a lift that has shocks front and back, then replace the shocks with the air bags?

Re: Lowered Club Car
He's not looking for "lift", he's looking for lowering. A lift would be a waste of money.

Re: Lowered Club Car
but if he put a lift on it, it would serve as mounts for the bags, then when he mounted the bags and air them up, it would be as a semi lifted cart and then when he deflated the bags, it would bring the top "shock" mount down to the bottom "shock" mount which could then be lower than stock ride height
