I'm not sure if my first policy had the serial number of the CC on it or not, (need to check that,) but I do know that my current policy not only has the Florida assigned VIN on it, but also shows 2009 ASPT LSV. That alone means that my Agent screwed up and could be liable since there is no doubt my vehicle IS and LSV. That's why I've gotten a couple of calls from him directly now and why he's asking for me to make a decision fairly quickly as to my intent on this matter. He mumbled something about errors and omissions but I DO believe he had NO knowledge on this issue until I brought it up. For his "under" agents... who knows...

Trust me... we are not alone on this, there are many more LSV's out there that think they are covered as well. All I know now is that no matter what, I'm going to pay to have real coverage in case something happens that demands the proper insurance.
Well, You just described everything that doesnt match on my cart, (does more than 20, has a plate, driven on city streets.) Gee whats left ? I guess Im glad I dont transport nuclear waste with it. Cant wait to talk with Gary Mon. I'll let ya know how that goes, already have a good idea ! Mike

OK, I finally got REAL insurance for my LSV. So many agents have no idea what to do on this but one took the time and got it done, 100/300, PIP, etc. etc., everything including towing for 1 year $262.

Julie Milman

State Farm Agent in Lake Worth, FL.

Just tell her you need full coverage for an LSV like Ted's and she'll get you handled! (You must have at least one other vehicle insured with State Farm though.)

Cat Boat Racer,

I canceled my personal insurance policies with Allstate today as well, been with them since Bobbie Nettles owned that agency, then Tom Brown and finally McMullin. Give Julie a call... she's expecting you!

Yea, State Farm and Travelers are the only ones I could find to insure my Tomberlin here in FL. State Farm did it for me with a seperate policy for just the lsv. Worked out best for me.

I am checking on LSV insurance now and I got a Prgressive contract but I found out that it didn't have PIP insurance, and you need that for Florida, I live in the Villages. Now I have a problem with Progressive because I told them I wanted insurance in Florida and they sold me the wrong insurance. It was a great deal but it didn't have personal injury in the contract. ( PIP )

State Farm knows, understands and has actual LSV insurance including PIP. I also believe Farmers does as well. A few posts away I listed my agent who could also help you get insurance. My previous typical golf cart insurance ran around $100 a year but wasn't LSV insurance nor did it have PIP.

I bought mine from State Farm and I got it for 138.00 a year. I got 250/500/250 plus PIP needed in Florida for that price. I think that is the best price for the money
