'Below Par' Airbagged Columbia Par Car
Hey guys. Thought I'd post some pics of my rig! It's a 1988 Par Car gas, dubbed 'Below Par'
I have been working on it for just on a year now, and I'm sooo close to being finished! It has air suspension all round (cylinders in the front, 10" travel triple convolute bag in the rear) It's a hand fabbed chassis from the motor back, so I could get it to lay on the ground. Other mods - retrimmed seats/billet wheel, 3" roof chop, 1" body drop, ragtop, custom mixed paint, custom switchbox, and tubbed rear. I'll post a build up thread soon maybe. Just wondered what everyone thought so far! |

Re: 'Below Par' Airbagged Columbia Par Car
Sorry for the delay. Just finished a couple more things on her the other day, but until I get more pics, here's some of the build up.
Stripped back, ready for the chop. Won't be needing this anymore! Making the new frame rails. I had to improvise, as I don't have a tube bender. This particular rail was tricky as it had to clear the motor thru the full travel of the suspension. Rails done! I also managed to lower the body mounts for a 1" Body drop. Now for something to mount the bag to! I utilised the leftover frame rails. |
