Default Lowered 2003 EZ-Go

I have a guy that wants me to lower a 2003 electric EZ-Go golf cart in a few weeks after he buys it. He wants to lower it just a little and put 12" wheels (they look like old torq thrusts from American Racing for old hot rods or pickups) with low profile tires. Any idea how much he can lower with 12" wheels and low profile tires? Also, how should I go about lowering it about 2 inches? I was thinking just take out a leaf spring, any oppinions?
Thanks!

So 2 inches should clear fine? I don't plan to go anymore, it's an old guy and he doesn't like anything radical. He was going to lift it and such but his wife said it would be too hard for her to get in and out of it and plus it's going to be used on the golf course still. I figured around 2 inches (1.5 even) would be plenty and the 12" wheels and low profile tires would raise it back to stock height and make up for the 2 inch drop.
As long as they will clear without rubbing and steering with no rubbing then it's fine.

Really depends on the wheel offset. You will be very safe if you first flip the front leaf springs. On the rear, I would take a 1X2 square tubing and use that as the tires and wheel will possibly protrude from the rear body then rub. You should be ok, If you need any additional help, feel free to contact me at 540-903-6773 or visit my web site at www.uniquecarts.net

there are many different wheel and tire combos to choose from...
i would mount the rim and see how much room you have... if you get the right tire dont need to lower...

a 215/50/12 tire is 20" tall and fills the wheel well up...

is this gas or electric?? you can air bag or air shock here some pics
