I have the kill-a-watt thing and just got a brand new cart. It has been plugged in since new (10 days) and now have 21 miles on it. Cost $1.61 @ $0.10 a KWH. You guys do the math. I think the cost per mile may go down as things break in a bit.

Good job Tim! That's the definitive information that the OP was looking for. So, what kind of cart do you have? BTW Welcome to BGW!

I just got the Tomberlin LE-4 500 with fancy seats/wheels. On the list to do--back seat to make it a 6 seater, GloRyder wheel lights, Battery watering system, hitch, some lighting enhancements. Couldn't resist the Obama money for the cart, you know "Cash for Clubbers" I am thinking about renaming it "OBAMAGO" My first mod was stuffing a earplug in the backup buzzer thing. Just a subtle beep now.

It is as simple as it sounds. 1. Buy some foam ear plugs. 2. Put earplugs in your ears. You will need them to find the beeper. 3. Put cart in reverse, beeep, beeep.... 4. Find reverse buzzer. This is the hardest part. It is amazing how the sound is tough to find. Put finger over hole. Nice and quiet now. Thats where the earplug goes. 5. Take one earplug out of ear and stuff in hole. Adjust to get the level of beep you need. 6. Take earplug out of other ear. Thats it!!

I just got one of the E2 models, also could not resist the cash. I will also find that dang beeper and silence it! BTW I figure with my 3.5 cents per KWH that this is equivalent to 18 cent/gal gas.

Look for beeper by--looking from front of cart on passenger side wheel across to driver side about 16 inches up. Right next to a tube --use a bright light.

I have been leaving it plugged in the whole time, basically if I am not running it then it is plugged in. I just got back after being gone a week and will post numbers for what I see.

Latest # for the Cost of Running the EMerge 33 miles measured 19.21 kwh 241 hours it has been plugged in .15 to .17 amps when sitting plugged in. 7 watts when sitting plugged in. $1.92 Total cost to me @ $0.10 per KWH for the 33 miles Cart is brand new 4 seat EMerge 44 total miles, terrain is flat, I only seem to run it flat out at 25 mph. I think will start another sample after I get around 50 miles on this sample.
