When I sold the "Vette" for a Mercedes 450sl "chevy conversion" I thought about a "street rod build" and this is kind of my "take on it" , But..... Can I get the front wheels off the ground ! Body still at paint , car at exhaust freind (was not happy with the "fake" dual exhaust) but the seats are reaupolsterd......Still no roll bars/bar! Thanks for your comments. Will keep you guy's posted. Later Dave

Body parts came from paint today. I'll let you guy's see and post. Still working on the roll bar. It's amazing the color you get off painted brake drums. Later Dave

Ron....Not only did I trim the body wheel opening...I had to "stretch" the main frame and "cut off" some of it, I also had to cut the side rail to fit these tires and rework the inner fenders. I bought them from Gateway Tire and Wheel. But they didn't have a tire wide enough to match (only 7" tire in low profile) the 12" by 8" rims. As of today they do. My biggest disapointment is I didn't complete the roll bar system or "scare myself" with the front end "up in the air"! Oh well.......there is always another build! You know......I still would like a "trans am" styled car with fender flares...wide tires...wheel spacers...that could handle the speed, like a go cart! Later Dave
