Since you will be running stock sized tires it may not be bad at all. If you were running 22's then it would be a real drag.

With 8:1's and the 13 HP you should have real good mid range power. Mid-upper 20's. I agree with the other guys...try modding the exsisting motor first before buying the drop in replacement.

I'm going to run 20" tires on back 8" wheels, on the CPP site it says 6:1 gears will make stock cart go 30+ mph, thats what I'm looking for, so later I can modify clutches, maybe jet up carb, K+N filter.
If that dont work I'll juice it

I am putting a 18 briggs opposed twin flathead in my cart, and had to lift only 1/2 inch so I decided to move the rear end back 1 inch to better center the 20" tires in the wheel wells , so you can go big block without lifting , it's tight tho . got it bolted down yesterday .
